In April, my wife handed me the phone - our family physician wanted to give me the news regarding my scans. I had been losing weight, having night sweats, along with an irritating cough. I put the phone to my ear and expected news of pneumonia. What I got was the dreaded C-word -- cancer.

By the grace of God, I survived 18 weeks of chemotherapy and just last week, my cancer is in complete remission. During that 18 weeks, I thought, If God gives me more time, what would I do with it? Now, I know: help the sick, poor, homeless and less fortunate.
